Patterns and Anomalies in Gerrymandered Districts
Design Challenge
Gerrymandering of Congressional districts by partisan actors in order to tilt the balance of power in a state in their parties favor is a common action undertaken by both parties. While many may know of this phenomenon, most coverage gerrymandering focuses on how the districts are shaped. We attempted to dive into demographic and election data to identify gerrymandering trends within and between states.
