Project Title
Mechanism to Lock IV Drip Rate
Design Challenge
A common misconception among Malawians is that an increased rate of IV delivery leads to a faster healing process. As a result, nonmedical personnel like family members often increase and max out the flow rate of patient IV drips. In order to prevent unauthorized personnel from altering the flow rate, an affordable, durable drip rate lock that only medical personnel can easily adjust is required.
